learning environments that engage and support learning
What?
My first artifact is an interactive google slide with useful links that will assist in relationship-building within the class and a resource page that will direct and guide students. I chose to link my teacher's website and include some fun facts about myself. For example, I love coffee, candy, and music, specifically the band Maroon 5! In addition to this, I added some useful links that we will use in the classroom such as Desmos and Schoology.
So What?
Not only is this a useful tool for teachers to utilize at the beginning of the school year to allow the students and parents to get to know you, but it can also be used as an interactive syllabus. This gives an alternate experience to the learning environment by demonstrating the classroom on a digital platform. The student can also utilize this as an introduction activity in the class where they can express their individuality to their peers.
Now What?
In my future classroom, I plan to use this learning adaptation as a review resource for students. I feel that this platform can act as a useful way to organize electronic notes, websites, and document links all in one place. In the math classroom, it's very helpful to have online resources to use as study tools and with a project like this, the students will be able to open up one page that is home to all their links in an electronic classroom stage.
